Nurry Lee – Springtime Piano Recital

The Civic is proud to present its first classical music concert, marking an exciting new addition to its live music programme.

International Concert Pianist and Kawai Artist, Nurry Lee makes her debut performance in Trowbridge and the Civic this spring. In a two hour performance, she plans to excite and amaze audiences with a spectacular showcase of some of her favourite pieces.

Having performed across the world including Europe, America, Asia and Africa. Nurry is excited to make her debut performance in The Civic and to return to the South West having grown up in the neighbouring city of Bath before studying at Wells Cathedral School and later the Royal College of Music in London.

Since making her debut Nurry has been recognised and applauded for her expressive performance style and loved for her down to earth personality. Praised as a “wonderful pianist” by Emanuel Ax, Nurry’s career highlights include BBC Radio Three, performing at Bath Abbey, the Royal Albert Hall, the debut Candlelight Concert for Fever in Seoul and her multiple performances at Carnegie Hall.

However for Nurry, it ultimately comes down to the music she loves and sharing it with the people around her. Following her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2023, Nurry said in an interview: “My mission is about giving access to classical piano music to as many people as possible. For me, music itself has no boundaries.”.Thus, Nurry is always excited to meet a new audience and introduce them to the music she loves so much.
