Marlborough Town Hall
High St, Marlborough SN8 1AA
Heritage
In the heart of Marlborough High Street is the beautiful 1902 Town Hall. It's rich history includes its time as a court house, as is evident in the detailed layout and design. The Hall has three main rooms that are used on occasion. You have the Assembly Room, which is an elegant space with high ceilings, perfect for weddings, parties, plays, and concerts. Then there's the Court Room that's a great fit for exhibitions, public sales and civil ceremonies. Leaving the Council Chamber, which is a great suit for a small intimate wedding, or a more official meetings and interviews. Down in the cellar there are still original cells from when prisoners were held here awaiting their time at the magistrates bench in the Court Room.
If you catch the Town Hall on the right day, make sure to look up and admire the flag. And remember, this building is the perfect place for a photo opportunity!
